  • The 1974 ZOO Cover Sticker

This is a extremely rare KZEW sticker, accordingly to original KZEW program director Ira Lipson. During this era, the ZOO stickers had a clear background, and KZEW released this one with a white background to cover up their competitors stickers. "We noticed that a lot of people were still driving around with other stations bumper stickers so we decided to issue a limited edition of ZOO FREAK BUMPER STICKERS so listeners could cover up competitors stickers with one of ours", says Lipson. Released in early 1974.

  • The Second ZOO Sticker

A design with slight changes. The ZOO realized that black printing on sticker #1 disappeared against the interior of the car & changed the print color to yellow so it would show up. Another clear background (the brown background you see is actually the sticker backing). Released late summer - early fall 1974. It will be almost 2 years before number 3 is released.

  • ZOO Sticker #3

Major changes in sticker number 3, with a new design. Said to be the least favorite by many. Released August 1976, it will only be the official sticker for 8 months, with the release of number 4 in April 1977.

  • The 1976 C'Mon In Sticker

This is the rare C'Mon In sticker, made for placement inside of windows of businesses. Same design as Zoo sticker #3, with 'C'Mon In' instead of 'ZOO Freak' and reversed for placement 'inside ' of glass. This sticker was never released to the public as the ZOO sticker 3 design was less than popular and only lasted for 8 months.

  • ZOO Sticker #5

Not really an official sticker, but a promotional sticker for the "Fly The ZOO" ad campaign. This very first winged ZOO sticker was released in August 1977. Very rare and the zookeeper's personal favorite.

  • ZOO Sticker #6

Even though the "Fly The ZOO" ad campaign had been under way since August 1977. It wasn't until early 1978 before the official sticker reflects the sentiment.

This sticker can even be seen in the Robert Duvall movie, "Tender Mercies". It appears on an old Chevy pickup near the beginning of the film at about the 3:00 mark.
