Hey Zoo Dudes,
Miss you all and all the fun we had. Remember those inspirational "lunch breaks"? How about all the in-studio interviews? The live shows at January Sound? The Cotton Bowl Series? (the first one, we provided our own security, "Freddie King is my uncle, man"). The rock stars that stopped by for a meet and greet. I even answered the phone for Mike Taylor one time, and John Lennon was on the other end. I think that's one of the very few times I was speechless. He was my favorite Beatle.
Glad to see the KZoo web site finally came to fruition (I throw that word around whenever I can). I'll be in touch. I've been out of radio for almost 4 years. Victim of Clear Channel housecleaning. I'm close to my family, my 2 boys (one in Detroit, one in Chicago, the older one picked up the gauntlet and does afternoons at WDVD in the Motor City).
Well, happy anniversary everybody! We ought to have a party or something. Yeah, let's meet at Ira's house and drink all his liquor. Yeah, that's what we should do. Stay young and don't let the Man get you down.
Yours truly,
Mark Addy,
afternoon Zoo guy

The Men of Abelard
Before you were a big "afternoon drive guy", you were a "cave dweller" at MSU. Moley, Doc, Ski, Bonecutter and a bunch of us were reminiscing about the old days in Abbot Hall. I can remember calling you many nights at the station, trying to disguise my voice and requesting the same song over and over. You became a big success in radio, and I got over requesting that song! Well, we want to get together this Fall and have located about 15 others. I hope you read this and will get back with me. I've seen the photos of you, McPheeters, Bauer and Allan B Oyer from a few years ago. It would be great to see you. Ron Smock

We miss you here in Detroit. Last time I heard you, you were working in Ann Arbor. I finally got clean and sober, feels great. Was listening to some tunes and you popped up in my head. Was remembering some of those raps sessions we had at WRIF. Thanks again for the help you give me. Glad to hear your alive and well, there in Texas. If any body is reading this, Addy, is the best. Anybody gives you trouble down, Mark, let me know and I'll send a couple of Detroit boys down there, to make things right. Stay Cool Mark.
